Hi! My name is Farzam, and I’m a Software Engineer. I grew up in Southern California and transferred from a local community college to University of California, Davis, as a Sociology major. After dipping my toes in the vast field of Computer Science in my free time, I quickly fell in love, and thus began my journey into the rabbit hole.
I tried to spend lots of time outside of school dedicated to small side projects and endeavors that could help me grow my knowledge outside of the classroom, and that soon led me to my internship with Intel. I had the privilege of working as a Product Development Engineer in their pre-silicon validation team, automating their workflow and aiding the engineers in the development of their new 3D-NAND SSD's. After graduation, I started working as an embedded engineer with Qualcomm, and since then, I've writing boot firmware for their SoC's.
In my free time, I try my best to focus on activities that keep me outside of the house since the field of CS keeps me inside a lot of the time. I enjoy powerlifting, rock climbing, surfing, basketball, and soccer/football. I listen to almost every genre of music, and play instruments like the ukulele, guitar, drums, piano, and more!
